Saber Force: Saber Force Starter Deck Review

Sadly, the Deck is utterly unremarkable and even worse than its predecessor. “Gottoms’ Emergency Call” is the wrong back row removal, “Dust Tornado” is a random Counter Trap that does nothing with the card type and “Magic Drain” is a mediocre card that only draws one card.

Yuya

Each Deck includes 35 Common Cards, 5 Shatterfoil cards featuring a relaxed shattered style, and a Beginner’s Guide. This Deck is the TCG equivalent of the 2-Player Starter Deck versus Saber Force Declan in the OCG.

Declan

Released alongside Dark Legion, the 41-card Deck is based on one of the show’s main characters and tuned to help new Duelists learn how to play right out of the box. Each Deck includes 35 standard cards, five shatterfoil cards featuring the character’s relaxed shattered style, and a Beginner’s Guide and game mat. This Deck is the second-best XYZ starter deck, offering beat-down support and plenty of rank 4 XYZ monsters to build around. It’s also easier to understand than the first, with fewer intricate combos and more relying on XYZ summoning. Plus, you can use the excellent level 7 Odd-Eyes Saber Dragon from the cover art! It’s one of the most amazing XYZ monsters in the game! It’s a perfect choice for new players and anyone who wants to try out XYZ.

This Deck is also the best for teaching how to use monster effects. This is especially important for new players, as many cards require activating specific monsters.

Odd-Eyes Saber Dragon

Yuya’s exhilarating strategy keeps audiences on the edge of their seats as he deftly parries his opponent’s attacks. The devious Declan takes the opposite approach, attacking early and often before destroying everything in his path with his D/D/D Dragon Overlord Pendragon!

With Yuya’s exhilarating strategy keeping audiences on the edge of their seats and Declan’s devious approach destroying everything in his path, this Deck is perfect for new Duelists to start playing immediately! While this card is strong enough to stand independently, the D/D/D Dragon King archetype tends to be more effective by gaining material fuel from its own Extra Deck monsters and using those along with Covenant cards to summon boss monsters one after another constantly. This can easily overwhelm an opponent’s field and lead to a victory.
